How to request deletion of your MapleBooks data

You can request deletion of your MapleBooks account or company data by emailing support@getmaplebooks.com.

Use the subject line: Account deletion request

What to Include

Include:

Do not include full Social Insurance Numbers, card numbers, bank passwords, government login credentials, or other highly sensitive information in your email.

Verification

Before deleting account or company data, MapleBooks may verify that you control the account email, are the account owner, are authorized to request deletion for the company, and have any required company-owner approval.

For company data, MapleBooks may require confirmation from a company owner.

Where information must be retained, MapleBooks will limit retention to the purpose requiring it.

Timing

MapleBooks will acknowledge deletion requests within 3 business days.

MapleBooks will aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, billing, backup, or operational reasons.

Backups

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period until backups expire or are overwritten. Backup copies are not used for active product access unless restored for security, disaster recovery, or legal reasons.

Before You Request Deletion

If you need business records for tax, bookkeeping, or legal purposes, export them before requesting deletion. Deletion may be irreversible.
